How to cancel DAZN

On the web

1. Sign in at dazn.com in a browser (the apps do not offer cancellation) and open the menu › My Account.
2. Open My Subscription (Meine Mitgliedschaft in Germany) and choose Cancel subscription.
3. DAZN offers a pause or a cheaper package on the way out; decline them and confirm.
4. Note the end date on the confirmation screen and keep the email. Access continues until that date.

If you pay through Apple, Google, Amazon, Sky or a telecom

1. DAZN bought through the App Store, Google Play or Amazon is cancelled there, not in the DAZN account.
2. DAZN as an add-on to Sky, Telekom, Vodafone or another provider is on that provider’s contract: cancel it in their customer area, with their notice period.

Before you cancel

Notice period

Flexible monthly plan: 30 days from the day you cancel, not from the month end. 12-month plan: at the end of the 12 months, with 30 days’ notice; after that it runs indefinitely and can be ended with one month’s notice.

Refunds

No refund of the running period. A 12-month plan cancelled early runs to the end of the term. The 14-day withdrawal right applies to a new subscription.

Worth knowing

• The 30-day notice on the monthly plan means you are usually billed one more time after cancelling. Cancel as soon as you know, not on the last day.
• The yearly price (paid monthly) is a 12-month contract. Cancelling in month three does not stop months four to twelve.
• In Germany, if DAZN’s cancellation button is missing or does not work, § 312k BGB lets you cancel without notice. Screenshot the broken flow if that happens.
• Pausing keeps the contract. It is fine for the off-season, but it is not a cancellation.

Your rights in the EU

In Germany, since March 2022 a 12-month DAZN plan does not renew for another fixed year: after the first term it runs indefinitely and can be cancelled with one month’s notice. DAZN also has to provide a working cancellation button on its site.

These apply in most EU countries on top of whatever the service’s own terms say. The detail varies by country, so treat this as the floor, not the full picture.

• 14 days to change your mind. For most contracts you sign online you have 14 days to withdraw without giving a reason. For a digital service you start using straight away, the seller can ask you to give up that right at checkout, which is what the tick-box you clicked past was for, or charge you for the part you used.
• Auto-renewal has to be clear. A service that renews automatically has to tell you so before you sign up, including how long each renewal lasts and what it costs. Some countries go further: in Germany, a contract signed since March 2022 can only renew indefinitely if you can then cancel monthly, and notice periods are capped at one month. France, Austria, Romania and Sweden require a separate reminder before a renewal.
• A cancel button, in Germany. If you signed up online with a company selling in Germany, its website has to carry a clearly labelled cancellation button since July 2022, and cancelling has to be as easy as signing up was. Across the EU, an equivalent withdrawal function for the 14-day right became mandatory on 19 June 2026.
• Keep the confirmation. Cancel through the account page or the official form rather than by replying to a no-reply address, screenshot the confirmation, and keep the email. If a charge lands after that date, the confirmation is what gets it reversed.
