How to cancel Movistar Plus+
For the standalone subscription: sign in to the Movistar Plus+ customer area, open Mi suscripción and choose Dar de baja. There is no permanencia; access ends at the end of the billing period. TV bundled into a Movistar fibre or mobile contract is changed through Mi Movistar or by phone instead.
Standalone Movistar Plus+ subscription
- Sign in to the Movistar Plus+ customer area (área de cliente) from movistarplus.es in a browser.
- Choose Mi suscripción in the left-hand menu.
- Click Dar de baja at the bottom right and confirm.
- Keep the confirmation email. The service stays available until the end of the period already paid for.
TV inside a Movistar fibre or mobile contract
- Movistar Plus+ packages bundled into a miMovistar contract are part of that contract. Remove or change them in the Mi Movistar app or web area under your products, or call Movistar customer service (1004).
- Check whether the package has a permanencia before removing it; some promotional bundles do.
If you pay through Apple or Google
- A subscription started in the iOS or Android app is cancelled in Settings › your name › Subscriptions (Apple) or Play Store › Payments & subscriptions (Google).
Before you cancel
- Notice period
- None for the standalone subscription: it has no permanencia, and cancelling stops the next charge. Bundled TV inside a fibre contract follows that contract’s terms.
- Refunds
- No refund of the current month. The annual plan runs to the end of the paid year. The 14-day withdrawal right applies to a new online subscription unless you started watching and waived it.
- Worth knowing
- There are two different things called Movistar Plus+: the standalone streaming subscription anyone can buy, and the TV packages inside a Movistar phone or fibre contract. They are cancelled in different places.
- The annual plan is one payment; cancelling mid-year does not refund the remaining months.
- O2 and other Telefónica brands sell Movistar Plus+ as an add-on at their own price; that add-on is cancelled with the operator.
Your rights in the EU
These apply in most EU countries on top of whatever the service’s own terms say. The detail varies by country, so treat this as the floor, not the full picture.
- 14 days to change your mind. For most contracts you sign online you have 14 days to withdraw without giving a reason. For a digital service you start using straight away, the seller can ask you to give up that right at checkout, which is what the tick-box you clicked past was for, or charge you for the part you used.
- Auto-renewal has to be clear. A service that renews automatically has to tell you so before you sign up, including how long each renewal lasts and what it costs. Some countries go further: in Germany, a contract signed since March 2022 can only renew indefinitely if you can then cancel monthly, and notice periods are capped at one month. France, Austria, Romania and Sweden require a separate reminder before a renewal.
- A cancel button, in Germany. If you signed up online with a company selling in Germany, its website has to carry a clearly labelled cancellation button since July 2022, and cancelling has to be as easy as signing up was. Across the EU, an equivalent withdrawal function for the 14-day right became mandatory on 19 June 2026.
- Keep the confirmation. Cancel through the account page or the official form rather than by replying to a no-reply address, screenshot the confirmation, and keep the email. If a charge lands after that date, the confirmation is what gets it reversed.

Questions
Does Movistar Plus+ have a permanencia?
The standalone subscription does not: it is monthly and can be cancelled at any time. A promotional TV package inside a Movistar fibre contract may have one; check the contract before removing it.
Where do I cancel if I got Movistar Plus+ through O2 or my fibre?
With the operator. It is a line on their bill, so it is removed in their customer area or by phone; Movistar Plus+ itself cannot cancel it.
Do I keep watching until the end of the month?
Yes. Cancelling stops the next charge, and access continues until the end of the period you have paid for.
