How to cancel WOW

Sign in at wowtv.de, open Mein Konto › Kontoübersicht › Meine Abos and choose Abo beenden. The monthly plan has no notice period: it ends at the end of the current billing month. A yearly offer runs to the end of its year.

Sign in at wowtv.de in a browser and open Mein Konto.
Go to Kontoübersicht, then Meine Abos.
Choose Abo beenden (or Kündigen) next to the package and follow the steps.
The page shows the end date and WOW sends a confirmation. Keep it.

If you pay through Apple, Google or Amazon

WOW started in the App Store, Google Play or via Amazon Prime Video Channels is cancelled there, not on wowtv.de.

Before you cancel

Notice period: None on the monthly plan: cancel up to the last day of the billing month and it ends at the end of that period. Yearly offers end at the end of the paid year.
Refunds: No refund of the running month or year. The 14-day withdrawal right applies to a new subscription unless you started watching and waived it.
Worth knowing: WOW is Sky’s streaming brand but a separate contract. Cancelling WOW does not touch a Sky Q contract, and vice versa.
Filme & Serien and Live-Sport are separate packages; end both if you want no charge at all.
A yearly offer is one contract for twelve months at the discounted rate; cancelling mid-year stops the renewal, not the remaining months.

Your rights in the EU

WOW sells online in Germany, so wowtv.de must carry a working cancellation button (§ 312k BGB). Since March 2022 a yearly offer cannot renew for another fixed year; after the first term it runs monthly.

These apply in most EU countries on top of whatever the service’s own terms say. The detail varies by country, so treat this as the floor, not the full picture.

14 days to change your mind. For most contracts you sign online you have 14 days to withdraw without giving a reason. For a digital service you start using straight away, the seller can ask you to give up that right at checkout, which is what the tick-box you clicked past was for, or charge you for the part you used.
Auto-renewal has to be clear. A service that renews automatically has to tell you so before you sign up, including how long each renewal lasts and what it costs. Some countries go further: in Germany, a contract signed since March 2022 can only renew indefinitely if you can then cancel monthly, and notice periods are capped at one month. France, Austria, Romania and Sweden require a separate reminder before a renewal.

If you signed up online with a company selling in Germany, its website has to carry a clearly labelled cancellation button since July 2022, and cancelling has to be as easy as signing up was. Across the EU, an equivalent withdrawal function for the 14-day right became mandatory on 19 June 2026.
Keep the confirmation. Cancel through the account page or the official form rather than by replying to a no-reply address, screenshot the confirmation, and keep the email. If a charge lands after that date, the confirmation is what gets it reversed.

Is there a notice period for WOW?

Not on the monthly plan. Cancel any time before the billing month ends and the package stops at the end of that month.

I cancelled WOW but still have Sky. Why?

They are separate contracts. Sky Q has its own 12-month term and notice period; see the Sky guide.

Can I cancel WOW in the app?

Only if the app store bills you. Otherwise sign in at wowtv.de in a browser and use Mein Konto › Meine Abos.
