How to cancel Adobe Creative Cloud

On the web

1. Sign in at account.adobe.com and open Plans.
2. Choose Manage plan for the subscription, then Cancel plan.
3. Adobe asks why, and may offer a discount or a pause. Keep going: the next screen states your refund or the early-termination fee, before anything is final.
4. Confirm. Keep the confirmation email; it states the end date and any fee.

If the website will not let you

1. Open helpx.adobe.com/contact and start a chat from your account. An agent can cancel and confirm the fee in writing.
2. Within the first 14 days, say so: the cancellation should be a full refund regardless of plan type.

Before you cancel

Notice period

None inside the 14-day window. Otherwise an annual plan can be ended at any time against the fee, or free at renewal; a monthly plan ends at the end of the current month.

Refunds

Full refund within 14 days of purchase or renewal. After that, no refund, and an annual plan paid monthly is charged 50% of the remaining contract as an early-termination fee.

Worth knowing

• The cheapest advertised monthly price is almost always the annual plan, paid monthly: a 12-month contract. That is where the 50% fee comes from.
• Adobe often offers a free month or a lower price on the way out. Taking it keeps the contract running.
• After cancelling, Cloud files stay accessible for a time but the storage quota drops; download anything you need. The apps switch to trial mode and stop opening.
• The renewal date is in Plans. Cancelling in the last days before it, or at the 14-day mark after it, costs nothing.

Your rights in the EU

In Germany, contracts signed since March 2022 do not renew for another fixed year: after the first year they run month to month and can be cancelled with at most one month’s notice. The 14-day withdrawal right applies to a new plan with a full refund.

These apply in most EU countries on top of whatever the service’s own terms say. The detail varies by country, so treat this as the floor, not the full picture.

• 14 days to change your mind. For most contracts you sign online you have 14 days to withdraw without giving a reason. For a digital service you start using straight away, the seller can ask you to give up that right at checkout, which is what the tick-box you clicked past was for, or charge you for the part you used.
• Auto-renewal has to be clear. A service that renews automatically has to tell you so before you sign up, including how long each renewal lasts and what it costs. Some countries go further: in Germany, a contract signed since March 2022 can only renew indefinitely if you can then cancel monthly, and notice periods are capped at one month. France, Austria, Romania and Sweden require a separate reminder before a renewal.
• A cancel button, in Germany. If you signed up online with a company selling in Germany, its website has to carry a clearly labelled cancellation button since July 2022, and cancelling has to be as easy as signing up was. Across the EU, an equivalent withdrawal function for the 14-day right became mandatory on 19 June 2026.
• Keep the confirmation. Cancel through the account page or the official form rather than by replying to a no-reply address, screenshot the confirmation, and keep the email. If a charge lands after that date, the confirmation is what gets it reversed.
