How to cancel Canva Pro
Sign in at canva.com, open your account icon › Settings › Billing & plans, then Cancel subscription. Pro features stay until the end of the paid period; every design is still there on the free plan. Refunds only within 14 days of a charge, by asking support.
On the web
- Sign in at canva.com in a browser and open your account icon (top right), then Settings.
- Choose Billing & plans. Your plan and renewal date are listed here.
- Choose Cancel subscription (or the ⋯ menu next to the plan, then Cancel), pick a reason if asked, and confirm.
- Pro stays until the end of the billing period, then the account becomes Canva Free.
If you subscribed in the iOS or Android app
- Plans started inside the app are billed by Apple or Google, and the billing page will say so.
- Cancel in Settings › your name › Subscriptions on an iPhone, or Play Store › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions on Android.
Before you cancel
- Notice period
- None. Cancel any time; the plan runs to the end of the current period, monthly or annual.
- Refunds
- Refund on request within 14 days of a charge, through Canva support. Outside that window Canva does not refund; an annual plan continues to the end of the year.
- Worth knowing
- Designs stay on the free plan, but Pro elements inside them (premium photos, fonts, backgrounds) will show a watermark or ask for payment if you download again. Export what you need before the end date.
- Brand Kit, Magic Resize and the 1 TB of storage go with Pro; if you are over the free 5 GB, uploads stop until you clear space.
- Canva often offers a pause or discount in the cancellation flow. Taking it keeps the plan active.
Your rights in the EU
These apply in most EU countries on top of whatever the service’s own terms say. The detail varies by country, so treat this as the floor, not the full picture.
- 14 days to change your mind. For most contracts you sign online you have 14 days to withdraw without giving a reason. For a digital service you start using straight away, the seller can ask you to give up that right at checkout, which is what the tick-box you clicked past was for, or charge you for the part you used.
- Auto-renewal has to be clear. A service that renews automatically has to tell you so before you sign up, including how long each renewal lasts and what it costs. Some countries go further: in Germany, a contract signed since March 2022 can only renew indefinitely if you can then cancel monthly, and notice periods are capped at one month. France, Austria, Romania and Sweden require a separate reminder before a renewal.
- A cancel button, in Germany. If you signed up online with a company selling in Germany, its website has to carry a clearly labelled cancellation button since July 2022, and cancelling has to be as easy as signing up was. Across the EU, an equivalent withdrawal function for the 14-day right became mandatory on 19 June 2026.
- Keep the confirmation. Cancel through the account page or the official form rather than by replying to a no-reply address, screenshot the confirmation, and keep the email. If a charge lands after that date, the confirmation is what gets it reversed.

Questions
Will I lose my designs if I cancel Canva Pro?
No. All designs stay in your account on Canva Free. Ones that use Pro-only elements will need those elements replaced, or a payment, before they can be downloaded clean again.
Can I get a refund on Canva Pro?
Within 14 days of the charge, yes, by contacting Canva support from your account. After that, no; the plan runs to the end of the period you paid for.
I cancelled and Canva still shows Pro.
That is expected. Pro stays until the end of the current billing period. Check Billing & plans: it should show the plan as cancelled with an end date, and no further charge scheduled.
