How to cancel LinkedIn Premium

On the web

1. Sign in at linkedin.com in a browser and click the Me icon, then Premium features.
2. Click Manage subscription; this opens the Admin Center. Click Purchases.
3. Select the active subscription, click Cancel subscription, and confirm.
4. On a phone browser: profile photo › Premium features › Manage your subscription › Cancel subscription.

If you subscribed in the mobile app

1. A plan bought in the iOS app is billed by Apple: cancel it from the LinkedIn app on that device, or in Settings › your name › Subscriptions.
2. Google Play plans can be cancelled on the desktop site, in the app, or in Play Store › Subscriptions.

In Germany, without logging in

1. LinkedIn provides a cancellation form for German subscribers that does not need a login; it is linked from the Cancel Premium help page. Use it if you cannot get into the account.

Before you cancel

Notice period

None for a paid plan: it runs to the end of the current billing cycle. In Germany, LinkedIn applies one month’s notice and refunds the remaining period beyond that.

Refunds

Generally none outside Germany; the plan runs out. In Germany, the remaining subscription period is refunded after one month’s notice, except within the first year of an annual plan.

Worth knowing

• Cancelling a free trial ends Premium immediately, not at the end of the trial. If you want the remaining trial days, cancel on the last day instead.
• Annual plans are charged once. Outside Germany there is no pro-rata refund.
• Sales Navigator, Recruiter Lite and Premium Business are separate subscriptions; check Purchases for all of them.
• InMail credits and saved data are lost when Premium ends; export anything you need.

Your rights in the EU

German subscribers can cancel without signing in through LinkedIn’s dedicated form, and LinkedIn refunds the unused subscription period after one month’s notice (not within the first year of an annual plan).

These apply in most EU countries on top of whatever the service’s own terms say. The detail varies by country, so treat this as the floor, not the full picture.

• 14 days to change your mind. For most contracts you sign online you have 14 days to withdraw without giving a reason. For a digital service you start using straight away, the seller can ask you to give up that right at checkout, which is what the tick-box you clicked past was for, or charge you for the part you used.
• Auto-renewal has to be clear. A service that renews automatically has to tell you so before you sign up, including how long each renewal lasts and what it costs. Some countries go further: in Germany, a contract signed since March 2022 can only renew indefinitely if you can then cancel monthly, and notice periods are capped at one month. France, Austria, Romania and Sweden require a separate reminder before a renewal.
• A cancel button, in Germany. If you signed up online with a company selling in Germany, its website has to carry a clearly labelled cancellation button since July 2022, and cancelling has to be as easy as signing up was. Across the EU, an equivalent withdrawal function for the 14-day right became mandatory on 19 June 2026.
• Keep the confirmation. Cancel through the account page or the official form rather than by replying to a no-reply address, screenshot the confirmation, and keep the email. If a charge lands after that date, the confirmation is what gets it reversed.
