How to cancel PlayStation Plus
On the web, sign in to Account Management › Subscription › Cancel Subscription. On a PS5: Settings › Users and Accounts › Account › Payment and Subscriptions › Subscriptions › PlayStation Plus › Cancel Subscription. Benefits run until the paid period ends.

- Sign in at playstation.com › Account Management in a browser.
- Select Subscription in the left menu.
- Choose Cancel Subscription next to PlayStation Plus and confirm.
On the console

Before you cancel
- Notice period
- None. Cancel any time; benefits continue until the end of the period already paid for.
- Refunds
- Subscriptions bought from PlayStation Store can be cancelled for a refund within 14 days of purchase, reduced by the days used. After that, no refund; the subscription runs to its end date.
- Worth knowing
- Monthly games you claimed at no cost stop working when the subscription ends; they come back if you resubscribe. Games bought with a Plus discount are yours.
- Cloud saves go with the subscription. Copy important saves to the console or a USB drive first.
- A 12-month plan does not refund the unused months mid-term; cancel it in the days before the renewal date instead.
- Turning off auto-renew is the same action as Cancel Subscription: the subscription simply does not renew.
Your rights in the EU
These apply in most EU countries on top of whatever the service’s own terms say. The detail varies by country, so treat this as the floor, not the full picture.
- 14 days to change your mind. For most contracts you sign online you have 14 days to withdraw without giving a reason. For a digital service you start using straight away, the seller can ask you to give up that right at checkout, which is what the tick-box you clicked past was for, or charge you for the part you used.
- Auto-renewal has to be clear. A service that renews automatically has to tell you so before you sign up, including how long each renewal lasts and what it costs. Some countries go further: in Germany, a contract signed since March 2022 can only renew indefinitely if you can then cancel monthly, and notice periods are capped at one month. France, Austria, Romania and Sweden require a separate reminder before a renewal.
- A cancel button, in Germany. If you signed up online with a company selling in Germany, its website has to carry a clearly labelled cancellation button since July 2022, and cancelling has to be as easy as signing up was. Across the EU, an equivalent withdrawal function for the 14-day right became mandatory on 19 June 2026.
- Keep the confirmation. Cancel through the account page or the official form rather than by replying to a no-reply address, screenshot the confirmation, and keep the email. If a charge lands after that date, the confirmation is what gets it reversed.

Do I keep the monthly games after cancelling PlayStation Plus?
No. Monthly games are a benefit of the subscription and stop launching when it ends. They return, with your saves, if you subscribe again. Anything you paid for, even at a Plus discount, is yours to keep.
Will online multiplayer stop straight away?
No. Everything continues until the end of the period you already paid for. The end date is shown under Subscription.
Can I get a refund on a PlayStation Plus subscription?
Within 14 days of buying it from PlayStation Store, yes, less an amount for the days used. After 14 days there is no refund, but you keep the benefits until the paid period ends.
