How to cancel Readly
Sign in at readly.com, open My account › Subscription and choose Cancel subscription. No notice period; access runs to the end of the paid month. Subscribed through Apple, Google Play or Amazon? Cancel there.
On the web
- Sign in at readly.com in a browser and open My account (Mein Konto).
- Open Subscription and choose Cancel subscription; in Germany the account area also carries the required cancellation button.
- Confirm and keep the email. Magazines stay readable until the end of the current billing period.
If you subscribed through an app store or Amazon
- Apple: Settings › your name › Subscriptions › Readly. Google Play: profile › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions › Readly. Amazon: Your Memberships & Subscriptions.
- Readly cannot end a subscription billed by a store.
Before you cancel
- Notice period
- None. Cancel any time; the subscription runs to the end of the paid period.
- Refunds
- No refund of the current month. A trial cancelled before it ends is not charged.
- Worth knowing
- Promotional offers (a month for €0.99 or a few months at a discount) convert to the full price automatically; the end date is shown on the account page.
- Downloaded issues stop opening when the subscription ends.
- Readly often offers a discounted return if you cancel; the offer is optional and the cancellation still stands.
Your rights in the EU
These apply in most EU countries on top of whatever the service’s own terms say. The detail varies by country, so treat this as the floor, not the full picture.
- 14 days to change your mind. For most contracts you sign online you have 14 days to withdraw without giving a reason. For a digital service you start using straight away, the seller can ask you to give up that right at checkout, which is what the tick-box you clicked past was for, or charge you for the part you used.
- Auto-renewal has to be clear. A service that renews automatically has to tell you so before you sign up, including how long each renewal lasts and what it costs. Some countries go further: in Germany, a contract signed since March 2022 can only renew indefinitely if you can then cancel monthly, and notice periods are capped at one month. France, Austria, Romania and Sweden require a separate reminder before a renewal.
- A cancel button, in Germany. If you signed up online with a company selling in Germany, its website has to carry a clearly labelled cancellation button since July 2022, and cancelling has to be as easy as signing up was. Across the EU, an equivalent withdrawal function for the 14-day right became mandatory on 19 June 2026.
- Keep the confirmation. Cancel through the account page or the official form rather than by replying to a no-reply address, screenshot the confirmation, and keep the email. If a charge lands after that date, the confirmation is what gets it reversed.

Do I keep reading until the end of the month?
Yes. Cancelling stops the next charge; the current period runs to its end date, and then the app locks the content.
I subscribed through Amazon or Apple. Why can’t I cancel on readly.com?
Because the store bills you. Cancel in the store’s Subscriptions list and Readly reflects it shortly after.
Can I get a refund?
Not for the running month. If you cancel during a free trial, nothing is charged.
